WATERPROOF PERFORMANCE

Rainy and damp? That’s not a problem for the rainwear of the PLANAM Outdoor Collection.

Rainwear has to be one thing above all else: waterproof. But how do you know this is the case when buying? The so-called water column scale gives an idea of waterproofing. This measuring unit indicates the level of water pressure a garment can withstand before the first drops penetrate the material.

It is thus a method for measuring waterproofness in millimetres. Accordingly, the higher the water column value, the more watertight the material. Textiles with a water column value of 1,500 mm are considered to be watertight. Most of our rainwear exceeds this value.
