FOR DOERS WITH AN ICE-COLD CONVICTION TO GET THE JOB DONE

When working in sub-zero temperatures takes its toll, suitable clothing is essential. Effective protection against the cold is provided by PLANAM’s cold storage/frozen storage range.

DRESS WARMLY, GET THE JOB DONE

Freezing cold down to -37°C – those working in a cold store or freezer facility every day need workwear with optimum protection against extreme sub-zero temperatures. Highly recommended: the PLANAM cold storage/freezer facility range.

Working in deep-freeze or cold-storage environments? Unthinkable without the right workwear! Effective thermal insulation is what’s needed. Our certified solutions protect against freezing temperatures. This is guaranteed by the structure of the outer shell in our range: 100% nylon on the outside and 100% polyester and a layer of polyester padding on the inside. The result: a warming insulating layer that lies between the cold and the body. The use of high-quality insulating materials, as well as the certification of the thermal insulation according to EN 342, gives you the security of being protected in the best possible way in deep-freeze and cold-storage environments. Items for working in freezer facilities are additionally equipped with an innovative fibre technology called 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation. The special feature of the material: It consists of 2-layer hollow fibres that form a warming air insulation layer.

In addition, pockets with zips and flaps provide storage space and practical comfort. Our range is rounded off by its integrated feel-good factor – including elastic inserts and elastic bands for freedom of movement, fleece finishes on the collars and snugfitting cuffs.

FULL GEAR, FULL PROTECTION

Indispensable for effective and certified thermal protection in arctic temperatures: the workwear must be worn combined as a suit.

Whether vest, blouson, dungarees or parka – PLANAM has the whole range. Ready to be worn as a suit, ready to fight the cold. This is how we meet the high quality and safety standards for certified workwear – for your protection. In addition, EN 342 specifies that appropriate head and hand coverings as well as suitable protective footwear must be worn.

The table provides information on the degree of protection. Basically: The higher the value of the insulation, the longer the protection against the cold. An example of a wearer carrying out a standing activity: An item with an insulation value of 0.47 protects against temperatures as low as -17°C for one hour and against temperatures as low as 3°C for eight hours. You will find the respective insulation value on the product pages.

Optimum air permeability
The entire collection has undergone the EN 342 test procedure, which tests both thermal insulation and permeability to cold air. According to their air permeability, all items are marked with class 1 to 3, the latter representing the best possible protection against the penetration of cold air.
